The Bahrain market report.
Week 34, 2026 · published 17 August 2026
Bahrain's property market has surged 34 per cent in total transaction value during the first seven months of 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to Bahrain's official land registry. For foreign investors, this expansion reflects genuine momentum across the freehold zones that matter most to international buyers-the designated areas where foreign ownership is permitted and actively encouraged.
Freehold developments have been the engine of this growth. Diyar Al Muharraq leads the volume conversation with 552 sales worth BHD 59 million, whilst premium coastal areas such as Sea Front in Manama command higher per-square-metre pricing at BHD 1,021. Emerging zones like Dilmunia have seen transaction activity accelerate 254 per cent year on year, signalling fresh investor confidence in newer supply. For buyers evaluating entry points, this is a market where supply, demand and pricing are moving decisively upward.
