The Bahrain market report.

Week 40, 2026 · published 2 October 2026

Bahrain's property market has surged into its strongest year in the recorded registry, with transaction volumes up 31 per cent and total values climbing 37 per cent year on year through September. That means 6,929 sales worth BHD 936 million have moved through Bahrain's official transaction registry in the first nine months of 2026 alone-a material acceleration that signals renewed investor confidence across the freehold zones where foreign buyers operate.

For overseas investors, the momentum is most pronounced in the designated freehold areas: Dilmunia has seen activity jump 212 per cent, Diyar Al Muharraq is up 104 per cent, and Durrat Al Bahrain is up 41 per cent. Diyar Al Muharraq has emerged as the year's heavyweight, capturing 670 transactions worth BHD 75 million, whilst coastal destinations like Sea Front Manama (averaging BHD 1,068 per square metre) and Amwaj Islands continue to attract serious capital.
