The Bahrain market report.
Week 43, 2026 · published 19 October 2026
Bahrain's property market has surged into 2026 with transaction volumes up 31 per cent and total deal value climbing 36 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to the official transaction registry. For foreign investors, this momentum reflects a genuinely strengthened market where freehold opportunities are commanding real activity and capital flow.
The most compelling signal comes from Diyar Al Muharraq, which has processed 695 sales worth BHD 79 million year to date with activity doubling since 2025, whilst Sea Front in Manama has attracted 205 transactions at an average of BHD 1,078 per square metre. These are the zones where foreign buyers hold genuine purchasing power, and the data shows confidence is translating into sustained transaction volume across multiple freehold districts simultaneously.

The read
What this week's numbers mean.
The official transaction registry shows foreign buyers have genuine momentum to work with: transaction volumes and values are both up substantially year on year, with freehold areas like Diyar Al Muharraq, Sea Front Manama and Amwaj Islands recording consistent activity and established pricing. For investors seeking entry or expansion, the data supports acting on these designated freehold zones now, whilst supply and opportunity remain clearly visible across the market's established corridors.
