Can a landlord evict tenants to demolish or rebuild in Bahrain?

Yes, if the property is 25 years old or more and the landlord needs to rebuild it. Law No. 27 of 2014 lists this as a specific eviction ground - a practical rule in a country where much of the older housing stock is being replaced by towers.

The age threshold matters: 25 years. A landlord cannot clear a 10-year-old building for redevelopment using this ground.
