Bahrain Property Law · Visas

How do I get Bahrain's golden visa through property?

Own property in Bahrain worth BHD 130,000 or more and you qualify for the golden residency: a renewable 10-year visa. The threshold was officially reduced from BHD 200,000 in late 2025, which put the visa within reach of a large share of the freehold market.

At BHD 130,000 the qualifying stock is wide: that budget buys well in Juffair (BD 52,000 average), Diyar Al Muharraq (BD 81,000 average) and Amwaj Islands (BD 91,000 average), and reaches into Seef.

The residency covers your family, renews as long as you hold the qualifying asset, and pairs with Bahrain's zero-tax ownership: no annual property tax, no rental income tax, no capital gains tax on the very asset that carries the visa.
