Yes. Dilmunia is a designated freehold zone - a health-and-wellness themed man-made island off Muharraq with canal-front apartments and new off-plan projects, open to buyers of all nationalities.

As one of Bahrain's nine designated freehold zones, Dilmunia offers buyers of any nationality full registered title at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, with complete inheritance rights - the same ownership a Bahraini citizen holds.

The purchase costs are the standard national ones: a one-time 1.7% transfer fee (2% if registered late), and then nothing - no annual property tax, no tax on rental income, no capital gains tax. Property worth BHD 130,000 or more also qualifies the owner for Bahrain's renewable 10-year golden residency.
